Ignite Summits are unique and special events for IT Pros and Developers delivered by the Office team. We share our knowledge and experience deploying and managing the new Office products and services and hear from you on what you love and what you’d like to see. Ignite content is designed and delivered by product experts from across Microsoft (Engineers, Technical Writers, Product Managers & Consultants). Managing tasks and projects with SharePoint Online and Project Pro for Office 365
Description: When it comes to tasks and projects, every individual, team, and organization has unique needs. Microsoft's vision for project management is to enable individuals and teams to choose the tool that is the best fit for their specific project while still delivering the visibility that their organization needs to ensure focus on the right priorities. This session will help you understand how SharePoint Online and Project Pro for Office 365 fit together so you can chart a realistic approach to project management for any organization that will deliver immediate value. During our session we will conduct live demonstrations of Project Pro for Office 365 as well as SharePoint Online.

Description: Project Online is the *new* Office 365 service that enables teams and organizations to manage their day-to-day work, plan mission critical projects and prioritize portfolio investments to maximize business value. This session provides an overview of Project Online functionality with focus on project manager, resource manager and team member role. It provides deeper dive into areas around project management, resource management and timesheeting. We will be spending a significant amount of time demonstrating Project Online and Project Pro for Office 365!
Managing and optimizing portfolios with Project Online
Description: Organizations today need to be able to select right projects that bring the highest ROI for the entire organization, the Portfolio Management functionality formalizes this process and helps to perform this task objectively, based on pre-negotiated KPIs and priorities. Project Online is the *new* Office 365 service that enables teams and organizations to manage their day-to-day work, plan mission critical projects and prioritize portfolio investments to maximize business value. This session provides an overview of Project Online functionality with focus on demand management, portfolio management and business intelligence. We will be spending a significant amount of time demonstrating Project Online.
Project Online: Demand Management deep dive
Description: Organizations today need to be able to select right projects that bring the highest ROI for the entire organization, the Portfolio Management functionality formalizes this process and helps to perform this task objectively, based on pre-negotiated KPIs and priorities. Demand management is a key process for customers that drives the entire Project lifecycle – from initiation, selection to planning, managing and closure. It typically follows the customer business process or methodology. This session will discuss creation of a typical Demand Management process and showcase workflow creation in the Microsoft SharePoint Designer and Microsoft Visio and will talk more in depth about algorithms used for the Portfolio Selection!
Business Intelligence for Microsoft Project deep dive
Description: Every organization needs to get insights into their projects and portfolios. We will explain and demo how project and portfolio managers can benefit from the Business Intelligence investments on the Project Desktop and Project Online. We will demonstrate how to use, customize and build custom reports for Project Pro for Office 365 and Project Online.
Microsoft Project Extensibility and Office Store Opportunity
Description: Apps that are extending the product functionality could be published and acquired by customers directly from the Office Store. Join us to learn how you can benefit from publishing your Apps, Trainings or Solutions. We will also showcase some of the Apps from the Office Store. Project desktop is a popular tool for millions of Project Managers. It now incorporates the Web Extensibility Framework and allows you to build Apps for Office that displays contextual content right in the Project. The demonstration will show how to build App for Project. This session also goes deeper into Project Online extensibility that builds on top of SharePoint Online extensibility and covers Client Side Object Model (CSOM), JavaScript Object Model (JSOM), Event Receivers and other key extensibility components.
