Since I work with the Bing apps and know some of the short cuts/features/tips and tricks possible within the Bing Travel App, I though it would be really good to pursue the same within this blog. The Bing Travel is a one stop entry point for many different kinds of use cases. Today the doyens of Travel app users across the world have on big problem in hand. There are so many different kinds of experiences that there is information overload all across the board. Internet is the exact opposite of knowledge search that we had in the traditional forms. In the past we had very few sources to a piece of information. I remember, my school teacher had asked me to prepare for an essay on the world war II. I knew that there were documentaries on television but we did not record them. When we watched the program we stopped multi tasking and watched it single focused. The ads though mind boggling were actual nerve soothers for me as 'at least' for me I could recover for the next session of knowledge transfer. Each documentary was invaluable and we could recreate essays out of it. I could recollect of the data on World War II through the vivid memories and then had to scamper through an entire library to get hold of some thing.

Today it is the opposite of the same. You dont know where to look for as a correct source of data. Can you trust a majority of the SEO documents out there carefully disguised as genuine sources of data. There is some definite need to orchestrate that data in to strong channels where data is trustworthy and you can quote it or use it for a some what career saving or life saving purpose.

Anyways, coming back to the point of the day. The Travel app , a app very close to my heart. This is one of those unique entry points for people looking for a genuine task completion and knowledge aggregation. The experience is around allowing users to read about places, look for nearby destinations , search for hotels and flights and see whats around in the web. The experience is varied across markets and fives you insights into multiple premium travel specific partners.

There is a large amount of custom content for various markets and languages and the app has market specific flight and hotel search that allows one to book a hotel in Dubai today with prices in the local rates and then book a flight from Dubai to Mumbai India and book a hotel  using a touch friendly travel on the go. For a couch surfer like me it is a great opportunity for me to read about locations that I had unheard of. I belong to the app team but there are a lot of utilities strike you when you use it for real even though you have gone to multiple spec iterations and changes when the development process and the test loops happened. In future posts I am going to show the best of the user world with images and show individual steps that one has to take to  complete some of the tasks. There is a super useful help section that you can always pull up from the bottom edgy and get to. It has custom made videos that are upgraded for each release that the app makes. There are mulitple versions of the app available in the market and each of them is a step forward towards being the ultimate travel browse and companion.
