Once again, we find ourselves embarking on another Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S.. Thanksgiving, a day to step back, take time to reflect, and give thanks for the people and things in our lives that we have the opportunity and pleasure to enjoy and know. For each person that list is different, and year to year, the list may change; however, whether it has been a very good year or a trying year (and we’ve all had our fair share of both), there are always things that we all have to be thankful for.
Over the years, and I’ve said it many times before, I have been blessed with the opportunity to work and interact with an amazing collection of people from around the world, both here at Microsoft and from organizations everywhere. These people work for companies that are small, medium, and large and they come from so many different cultures and countries. I am very thankful to all of you for the opportunity to interact and learn from each of you. It is definitely one of the things I love about my job.
On the personal side, I continue to be incredibly thankful for all of you that always continue to surprise me with the support and well wishes you have continued to share with me and my family as we’ve continued our journey that took it’s turn a couple years ago. Know that we are all incredibly thankful to each and every one of you for the kind words and thoughts you have shared. While the words, “Thank you,” seem so insignificant in comparison, I hope you know the absolute depth with which we do mean our thank you wishes to you.
So wherever you are and whomever you are spending today with, may you, your family, and your friends have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with good food, good times, and good laughter. For those of you whose path has become challenging of late, whether you are near or far, may the day bring some much needed consolation and may the future bring you better times.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and thank you all for being part of the larger community that we all make up and the value and interaction you bring to it.
